Pick the set by where it will live. A plain live-edge board is for play and display. A board with drawers is for a home that wants the pieces stored inside the board.
The four sets
- Live-edge chess set. Board and pieces, no drawer. Sizes from 22 cm to 47 cm. Choose this when the board stays on a table.
- Live-edge set with drawers. Same size range, with drawers for the pieces. Choose this when the board should be cleared between games.
- Board with storage drawers. A 35 cm or 40 cm board with drawers. Choose this for a gift where storage matters more than a large playing surface.
- Live-edge board with one drawer. A 35 cm or 38 cm board with a single drawer. Choose this for a desk or a smaller table.
What to add for a gift
On the product page, choose the size, then the engraving font F1 through F6, then the name, initials, or date. Those two lines are printed on the order so the letters can be cut in the font you picked.
For a player, the 40 cm or 47 cm live-edge board is easier to use. For a desk gift, the 35 cm or 38 cm drawer boards take less space.
